چکیده

This paper proposes an evolutionary approach to Bandgap Voltage Reference (BVR) design. The efficiency and feasibility of this method for solving the circuit design task are investigated. For demonstration purpose, two sub-1V BVR circuits are chosen. Circuit optimization is performed for various algorithm options. We have compared the design results obtained for purely random and deterministic initial conditions.

A 0.0025mm2 bandgap voltage reference for 1.1V supply in standard 0.16μm CMOS

A sub-1V bandgap voltage reference (BGVR) in 0.16μm CMOS is presented that circumvents the trade-off between area and power consumption in conventional sub-1V BGVR topologies. This circuit can be used in systems to generate reference voltages locally, eliminating the conventional relatively large BGVR and its global reference voltage distribution interconnect. The active area is 0.0025mm; at 29...

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF SUB 1-V BANDGAP REFERENCE (BGR) VOLTAGE GENERATORS FOR PICOWATT LSI’s

A bandgap reference (BGR) and sub1V BGR circuits for Picowatt LSIs is proposed here. The circuits pertains pico-ampere current reference circuit, a bipolar transistor, and proportional-to-absolute-temperature (PTAT) voltage generators. The circuits neglect resistors and contain only MOSFETs and one bipolar transistor. As the sub-BGR circuit divides the output voltage of the bipolar transistor ...

Sub-1-V-Output CMOS bandgap reference circuit with small area and low power consumption

In this paper, a new low-VDD CMOS bandgap reference circuit with small layout area and low power consumption is proposed. The proposed circuit delivering its output voltage below 1V has its Proportional-To-Absolute-Temperature (PTAT) term compensated by the Complementary-proportional-To-AbsoluteTemperature (CTAT) voltage thereby suppressing a change in its output voltage regardless of temperatu...

A Sub-1V Power Supply Sub-bandgap with an Extended Voltage and Temperature Range

This paper presents 1μW curvature-corrected bandgap reference that is capable of operating with an input power supply range of 0.88-5.5V. A 0.3V precision voltage reference is implemented with 3-stage RNMC (Reversed Nested Miller Compensation) operational amplifier and a novel PTAT current source to compensate the thermal nonlinearity of the base-emitter voltage. An experimental prototype gener...
